Should top athletes have a less legal punishment then the "average" person? One of the NBA leagues top scorer Gilbert Arneas brought a gun into the Washington Wizards locker room over a dispute over a gambling debt with teammate Javaris Crittenton. Arenas one of the elite players in the league averaging 22.6 ppg and 7.2 ass a game with three all-star appearances at the age of 27 is now suspended for the rest of the season and is now facing legal allegation which could be up to five years in jail. With each game that Arenas misses this season he will lose out on about $147,200 which ads up to around $9,429,505.41 for the rest of the season. Arenas stated he did not know about the strict gun rules in the states capital and the Wizards organization. He was just trying to keep the guns away from his children. Arenas knows what he did was wrong and understands that there are no excuses on what he did. Only time will tell now on the future of one of the top athletes in the NBA.
